Eric Pearl Transcends the Healing Techniques

Eric Pearl has appeared on numerous television programs in the US and around the world, and his healing work has touched the lives and hearts of countless people. He was originally a chiropractor for 12 years, but one day his patients started to experience healings when he simply held his hands near them. Patients soon reported miraculous healings from cancer, epilepsy, chronic fatigue syndrome, multiple sclerosis, AIDS-related diseases, birth disfigurements and other serious health issues. The healings have been documented in Eric's book, The Reconnection: Heal Others, Heal Yourself, which has become a bestseller and is available in 30 languages. Today he travels the world to teach people how to utilise this new spectrum of healing frequencies. He's taught more than 50,000 people worldwide and his groundbreaking healings continue. Vivienne Tang talks to the entertaining healer to find out more about the healer's work and his involvement in the new movie, The Living Matrix.

How and when did you become a healer? You went for this axiatonal alignment, and after that your life was never the same again.

I went to get a card reading, and the reading wasn't anything special that stood out. But the woman said to me, "There's this work that I do, and you need to have it done." She explained that the meridian lines in our bodies used to be part of a much more comprehensive system than they are today. They used to extend off our bodies and tie into the ley lines on the planet, continuing on out, connecting us to the stars and the rest of the universal system. At a certain point in time, humanity became a little bit separated from this system. When that occurred, we continued to evolve, but not at that ground rate we were evolving during that huge time when we were connected to it. The universe evolved at its ground rate, and we've sort of come to a place now where it's possible for us to rejoin that system. This was happening anyway because of our evolution... or she could do this special work, which was like a high-speed hook up to this system. She did refer to the work as an axiatonal alignment, and I asked her, "How much?" And she said, "$333". I thought that was one of the most ridiculous things I ever heard of, and I got up to leave. She scribbled something on a piece of paper and said, "Here, you can read about this in a book called The Book of Knowledge: The Keys of Enoch by J. J. Hurtak." And I said, "Thank you very much." I put the paper in my pocket. "I have no intention to pay any attention to what this is about." I found that I took an extra ten minutes off one day from lunch to quickly stop at a bookstore and to quickly skim through this eight-page chapter. She said, "Just read this little chapter 3.1.7." As I read the book I found fairly quickly there were three things that you could not do with it. You couldn't quickly skim through it. You couldn't read it, and you couldn't understand it. The more I read, the more confused I became. The more confused I became, the more intrigued I became. So I called her up to make my appointment. She explained it was done over two visits. She would trace her fingertips in line patterns over my body. After the session I left, feeling that there was absolutely nothing more ridiculous that I could possibly do, than to have agreed to come back on Sunday for part two. So I went home. I went to sleep. Then about an hour after I went to bed, my lamp next to me turned itself on. But it turned out that at the same time, it seemed as if someone was in my home. I walked around the house, looking for people for about 20 minutes, until I finally realised on some level or another that I wouldn't find them, and I went back to sleep. Then on Sunday I went back for part two, and she started doing pretty much the same thing with her fingertips. But this time I was feeling a little different. It was a hot day, yet when she finished, I was so chilled, she had to wrap me in a blanket for a good five minutes. I felt a sense of peace that I had never known before and yet seemed more familiar than anything I had ever known before.

On Monday two employees asked, "What happened to you? What did you do? You look so different, you sound so different. What went on over the weekend?" I didn't say anything. I didn't want to say, "Oh well, I paid some very charming Jewish gypsy $333 to draw lines on my body with her fingertips. Why do you ask?" So I just went in to see my next patient, and I would adjust the patient as I normally did. Then I said, "Close your eyes, relax for a minute and let everything fall into place." As I did that, I sort of watched them. When the first patient opened his eyes, he looked at me and said, "Who walked into the room while I was lying there?" I said, "No one, why?" He said, "No, who walked into the room?" I said, "No one did" Back and forth, back and forth. I adjusted my next patient and when she opened her eyes, she said, "Who walked into the room when I was lying here?" The same conversation again. And on this one day, seven patients said that they felt someone walking into the room, and two of them actually said that they felt as if someone was flying around the ceiling. Other patients said, "I can feel your hands before you touch me. And I'm thinking, "Oh yes, sure you can! Close your eyes." They tell me left shoulder, right hand, left leg. It became a game, and I played with it. As I played with it, my palms blistered a couple of times and my palm actually bled once, as if you accidentally stick a needle into it. Next thing I know, people are having healings and getting up from wheelchairs, reporting that vision and hearing is returning, cancer patients reporting that the cancer has disappeared, showing me laboratory results.

People started saying, "Teach this". I said, "Are you crazy? How the hell am I going to teach this? I'm waving my hands in the air, looking like an idiot." But more and more started calling me and told me that after the sessions their lamp or television would turn itself on and off. They would feel sensations in their hands. And we've been able to recognise that once you interact with this, you seem to be able to access it.

Finally I agreed to take a small group of people and teach them how to feel this and how to play with this. In the meanwhile researchers were calling.

First of all we're four-dimensional beings. We're height, width, depth and time. We just didn't recognise time as being a dimension for a long time. Picture a bubble representing our little four-dimensional experience here on earth. Here's our little four dimensional playground, existing somewhere within this huge multidimensional universe. Suddenly time has shifted, possibly due to this change that might have started to enter into existence around 1987 at the time of the harmonic convergence, and it very well be carrying us through to this period that will hit its next level in 2012. But time is moving faster. We think of time as a linear concept, beginning, middle and end. But what's really happening is that time is moving out into all possible directions. It's actually expanding. So if time is one component of our bubble, then it expands further out into the universe. Now we suddenly find that our bubble is expanding into a spectrum comprised of energy, light and information, a form we haven't had here before. This spectrum is new on the planet, but timeless because it's of the universe. What we're able to access now when we reconnect to our fullness is not just energy, and it's not just something old. The new age/spiritual world always wants everything to be old. They want it to be from Lemuria or Atlantis. And you know what, "Sometimes things are just new." This spectrum changes the rules of physics upside down and inside out. It allows us to completely transcend our energy healing techniques. But our challenge is whether or not we're willing to transcend them. It demystifies the healing process. We seem to find that every challenge really boils itself down at this level to one of ego, self and judgement. We would think, "Gee, if we can accomplish so much more by doing so much less, we will all be thrilled by it. What is the one thing that stops us from wanting to recognise this and step into it?" ...the food that our ego is getting from when we do a technique, keeping things mystical. We get to say, "I've learned this technique and that technique. I'm a master in this and a grand master teacher in that. And I've learned from a very special grand grand master, and I wish you knew what I knew, but my grand grand teacher died and I promised I couldn't teach it, so I'm sorry that you'll never be as good as I am." We've been fed I, I, I, me, me, me healing approaches that feed our ego subconsciously. All our techniques keep us in the ego. For instance people say, "I walked into the healing room to work on this person, and I immediately saw that the blue and the green in their aura was out of balance, and there was an area of red, and I knew the red didn't belong. So I used my special technique to remove it, brought the blue back to where, I of course knew, it belonged and balanced it. Then I found all the energy moving freely, except for one area where there was a density and a congestion. So I removed the density and everything moved freely again." When we come in and we see an imbalance of the blue or the green of the aura, how truly intelligent is it to remove it? Or might it be serving a function, just like the discolorations of the body that happen during the healing process, on its way back to resuming normal colour again. When we find an area of density, like a swollen knee, but we find the density in the energy field, if we come and remove that density, are we also denying that it might have an intelligent purpose or function? So we remove this, we change that. What's really happening to the mindset of the person who's telling the story about all the wonderful things they've just done in their last healing process... what they're really saying is, "Gee God, thanks a lot. You've done a really swell job with most of the universe up until now. You've definitely missed a few spots over here. Let me fix them for you. Btw here's my business card with all the various techniques I've mastered. I would love to stay and chat, but I have to run and tell all my friends what I've done and then I have to go to my seminar to help me further get over my ego." The challenge today is to receive the higher gift of allowing the intelligence of the universe to bring about a more perfect healing that's guided by IT, instead of the limited conscious educated mind, patterns, systems and techniques. To access that, we have to allow ourselves to stop doing, and instead to evolve to a level of becoming the observer and the observed. Once we are willing to simply be present we often find that the universe displays its true beauty in perfection of the healing process for us. Our real gift is not the momentary self-satisfaction of being able to run off and say, "I did this. Aren't I wonderful? As soon as I spray myself off with alcohol, I'm going to come over and tell you what I did, but I'm so sensitive that whenever I pass people, I take on their emotions." Truly, if there is any residue left over from the healing process, it's just that perfection of beauty and love, pretty much like the scent when we get out of bed in the morning from that special person in our life. We still have their scent on our skin, and we take a little sniff and we reexperience that love and that oneness we've had all night long. Do we really feel like grabbing a bottle of alcohol and spraying it off? Either we're coming from fear, lack, limitation or love, prosperity and abundance. We're always busy protecting ourselves. Healing comes from love and abundance and from being present. When that happens we're truly invited into the home of the healing process. Last I checked, when you're invited into someone's home, it doesn't really bode well to start rearranging their furniture. But if we're willing to however observe the beauty of what they've done with their home and the care and love they've put into it, we gain more and they gain more from the experience.

We have to recognize that our energy healing techniques have been pretty much like training wheels on a bicycle that help us get closer. But the true gift of any technique comes in its transcendence. If I'm standing on one side of the room and you're standing on the other side, you could offer me a technique, step halfway, step halfway again, I think I need to learn another healing technique, step halfway, draw another Japanese symbol in the air, step halfway... And the truth is I'm going to get closer every time. But the other truth is, I'm never going to get there, because each time I'm only stepping halfway. Same with the child, they're getting better with the training wheels, but they're not riding the bicycle perfectly. They're going to walk the bicycle down to the training wheel store, and the shopkeeper is going to sell them another set of training wheels. The next day the child gets another pair, maybe with beeping sound or ones that shoot red light beams out of them, so they can see when they're tipping left and right. A few days later we see the child riding down the street with twelve sets of training wheels. It has mastered the training wheels, probably taught half a dozen of his or her friends on how to master the training wheels too, and they all have their pink business cards with the rainbows and fairies. But none of them will have mastered the bicycle until the training wheels come off. Now comes the time that we have to let go of the technique. So we can simply step into who we are and where we're going. The masters knew these secrets, but our teachers today are not all masters. They tell us, "Come back and learn more. Come back and learn more. My guides will give me the next level next year, come back and learn more. Write me another cheque, come back and learn more." The masters throughout history tell us, "Don't come back!" They recognise that they are not teaching us in the first place. Instead they are allowing us to be exposed to these truths. Our true mastery is developed and evolved in the silence of our own minds. The teachers either don't know this or they don't want us to know this. But we really can't wait any longer. It's time for us to become the teachers of the teachers. It's time for us to become the light, and when we are the light, the next light lights up just by us being who we are. You see the flame, be the flame, and that is what ignites the next flame and the next flame. It's simply time for us to step into a more evolved level of who we are. I have no idea where this went from the original question, but I'm like a wind-up toy.

I had a similar conversation the other day about how the techniques are actually obstacles...

...how the technique becomes the interference? They are the carrot on the stick. But at a certain point in time we have to exist as who we are. I like to think the more we're talking about it, the more we're bringing this consciousness back on to the planet. You go into the bookstores today and there's alpha, beta, delta and gamma techniques. This one says, "Hold your hands this way", and this one says, "Hold your hands that way". You look at 37 different courses that they have set up if you want to give up smoking, if you want to do this... There's a different way to heal animals. Give me a break! There's a different way to heal animals? Animals are people in fur suits.

What do you experience during the healing?

Sensations.

Do you know what's being healed at that time?

No. No, I don't. What happens is, when we teach people how to access this work, we teach you how to begin to feel this, because feeling is like listening with a different sense. We begin to teach you to "listen" with the hand, because it's the easiest way for people to tune into it. As you're feeling, you're also watching. You're visually observing your sensations and the person on the table as they go into "registers". That's what we call the involuntary responses that happen with Reconnective Healing. Reconnective Healing has a lot of research behind it from some of the most prominent people around the world. The researchers find that there is something distinctively different from any of the energy healing we've had before. They say it has its own genre. It incorporates everything that we've been able to access through energy healing, yet the only way to access it is by not doing the techniques. As they do studies on this, they find that when people try to add techniques to this, it reduces it down to energy healing. So what you do is you feel, you notice, you observe, and your presence isn't sending energy. Your presence, beyond energy healing, is functioning as a catalyst, or a higher level of change. It works best the less you know about the person who comes in.

I subscribe to what I like to call the "One Cause Theory", meaning the degree to which we fall away from perfect health. That's the degree to which we've temporarily forgotten who we are. We've temporarily forgotten that we are that light, and all we need to do is remember. So what happens when we access that spectrum of energy, light and information, we vibrate at this level of light. As practitioners of this work, we no longer have to do anything to help it. You don't have to remove your metal, empty your coins out of your pocket, take off your shoes or your belt, because nothing interferes with it, because it's not just energy. It needs no help or assistance. You don't have to worry about moving in the right or wrong direction. It takes away the ego practices of spiritual diagnosis or medical intuition. If you're a medical doctor, if you don't diagnose your patient, you're negligent. At this level of healing, if we try to figure out what's wrong with the patient to diagnose them in any way, that becomes the negligence. The moment that we think what's wrong is the moment we feel the need inside to begin to direct things over certain places or decide that certain things can heal or can't and bring about limitation. The moment you try to figure out what's wrong with someone, whether or not it's your intuition, you're using a pendulum or muscle testing, you are not feeling complete until you address that symptom. Addressing a symptom is therapy, it's treatment, but it's not healing. Healing is about balance. Healing is not about getting rid of someone's symptoms, it's about bringing that person back into a state of balance. And once they're in that state of balance, the symptom no longer serves a purpose, so it leaves. But it's not about addressing the symptoms. Taking an aspirin is addressing the symptom. The symptom goes away. But most people who have headaches are not born with blood aspirin deficiencies. So you're not rebalancing them by giving them aspirin. You're shutting of the smoke detector. If you put out the fire, there is no longer the need for the alarm to go off.

As we vibrate at this level of light, doing this work, it becomes a natural reminder to the person we're working with. As the vibration hits them, something inside of them subliminally says. "Hey I remember this. This is me vibrating as light. I think I'll do it again." And as their cells, their body and DNA return to that higher level of light vibration, anything more dense than light, which tends to include most health challenges, there is pretty much nothing left to hold on to. So if appropriate for them at that point in time of their life, it just falls away. Healing is just that simple, and anything more complicated than that is designed to sell us something. The thing is, there is nothing we can buy to become healers, because the only thing we can buy is a new technique, a new gadget, a new protective necklace, something that is outside of us. And the healer is within. God, that's an overly used statement. But the point is, there are very few people who are hearing it. They walk around saying, "Yes, it's the healer within, and here's my special necklace from Lemuria that will help me pull it in." You don't need to pull it in. It's already there. "Here's my special necklace to protect me from electromagnetic frequencies or entities in the subway system." They put the necklace on in the morning. They go to work. They check themselves in the mirror. They straiten their little fear-based necklace out. When they're ready to get into bed, they take the necklace off and put it in a safe spot on the table next to their bed, so they can keep their fears safe. So the next morning they can put their fear-based necklace back on, and start their day off with the consciousness of fear. And then of course fear feeds off fear, and they will want to buy the next object and the next necklace. What happens is that they keep vesting parts of who they are into these new objects, these new rituals, these new techniques, looking everywhere but inside.

Apparently there are beings that come in when you do this work?

Oh, I forgot all about them. Different people will see and interact with different beings that do seem to be around us. I don't focus on this a whole lot. This was part of what showed me the reality of this in the beginning. So there aren't specific ones that we all have names for. I told these stories in the beginning, because I wasn't exposed to this type of thing. I wasn't raised this way. I wasn't expecting this, and as I would hold my hands near my patients, I would see their eyes move around, and their hands and feet would move in different directions. When they would open their eyes, some of them would say, "Gee, I saw this woman who was talking to me. She said that I would have a healing, and that I would go on television and talk about it." I didn't give it much thought. A month later I'm working with this guy and when we finished he said, "There was this woman here. She said if I had a healing, I should go on television." After you hear a couple of stories, you start to recognise that something real is happening. It got a lot stranger than that. There was a three-month period where over 50 of my patients lost consciousness and spoke the same phrases, "We're here to tell you to continue doing what you were doing. What you're doing is bringing light and information on to the planet. What you're doing is reconnecting strands. What you're doing is reconnecting strings." I was thinking, "What are they talking about?" And this went on for about three months, and just when I thought it couldn't get any stranger, it stopped. That's when I started looking at those phrases to see what insights were in there. I thought strings and strands meant DNA, and it was years beyond that when someone told me about string theory, simultaneous planes of existence. Here we are in one place and something is going on, and maybe 5,000 years ago something else was going on. We don't see them and they don't see us. Maybe something 5,000 years beyond now is going on. We don't see them, and maybe they do see us. Someone, somewhere, some intelligent somehow managed to turn over 50 of my patients into living broadcast systems, all speaking these same words. Something is existing on some string on some plane of existence. What other thing could tie light, strings and strands together? We're not alone in this system, this field called zero-point field. We play with it all the time. As kids we sit in a bus, and someone across the aisle is asleep. You stare at them, and they wake up. We know when the phone is about to ring, and we know who's on the phone. We're tapping into this field. What if our brain is our hardware and our DNA is our software, and what if what we're doing is reconnecting strands or restructuring the DNA. Then we might be giving ourselves a human software upgrade, which will then allow us better access to that more multidimensional field out there. Accessing that field is part of our evolution of becoming more multidimensional beings. You see, I don't like the word "healing", because it sounds like there's something we always have to get better from. It's like being an AA. They never let you get well. You're always an alcoholic. You always have to get better form something. Sometimes it's not about getting better from something. Sometimes it's about our evolution. What if we are on the precipice of evolution? What if we are stepping into the next level of becoming multidimensional beings? I also think that this showed up in the form of physical healings, because they are so attractive to virtually everyone everywhere on the planet. In that way a lot more people showed up who might have not shown up if we would just hang out a shingle saying, "Come get your DNA reconnected here."

How do you teach this work?

It's pretty simple, because you can't really teach healing. You communicate the gift to someone, and then it becomes evolved and mastered in the silence of their own space, mind and observation.

Generally we'll do a three-hours presentation, that will talk about the history of the work, how it evolved, the science, the research behind it, the theory. Then we'll bring volunteers up from the audience to do some life demonstrations of the healings, to see the reality of it. And I'm sure we'll do some demonstrations at any of the presentations in Hong Kong. Then we'll give everyone the opportunity to feel this in their hands. The full teaching seminar is when we teach people to become practitioners with the work. There's a stage set up in the centre of the room. I'll demonstrate, and then we'll all go to the massage tables in groups. I'll guide your hand a little bit and show you how to feel and experience different sensations. And as you're discovering this, you start to see the person on the table and their body voluntarily going into motions and response. As you move your hand to slightly different areas, you see the body changing, and when you move your hand back, you see that the body returns to where it was. You begin to access the simple reality of this. We enter a state of knowingness, which takes us beyond knowledge. There is no real reason to study and study and study for years to become a healer. Because being a healer isn't about knowledge. It's like the training wheels. It's about stepping into a place of knowingness, and once we do that, the healing evolves. By the end of one weekend you will not only be able to do anything and everything that I can do in the way of healing, you will be able to do anything and everything that any human being on this planet can do in the way of healing, whether they work out of a church deep in Brazil, whether they were raised by monks in a cave on a mountain top in Tibet. The point is it's not about one or a few special people any longer that we have to go find. It's simply about allowing ourselves to find ourselves to recognise that we are that light. And when we allow ourselves to get it and to get over our ego, our specialness or to get over thinking that we have to go to someone else. Then we become 100 percent the healer. We return to our spiritual and physical in a harmonic convergence.

Do you do distant healings?

Yeah, sure. But this is not about me. I've done my practice with healing. Right now I'm on the road about 45 weeks a year. The book The Reconnection is moving past 30 languages right now. We've trained maybe 50,000 people around the globe. Look, I could live a very comfortable life. All I have to do is stop teaching, just let people know that I'm taking sessions, and I'll have a waiting list for the next ten years. But my work at this point is about teaching. If I do what I'm supposed to do properly, when I leave this body, this work will be on the planet forever. If I'm just about sessions, when I would go, it would go.

What is your inspiration behind this?

I don't know. I'm driven. I think that's something so unique, so real and so awesome, when it presented itself in my life... The fact that it's here is enough reason for somewhere inside... I just know that this is what I'm supposed to do. And I'm damn well going to do it. But I don't know the reason. I don't know the answers.

What are your plans?

People keep saying, "When are you going to write your next book?" The first two years, the answer I gave them was, "When I recover from writing the first one." Today I tell them, "When I have something else to say. In the meanwhile, read the book again." It's not about another book. I could be like other authors and write a warmed over version of this book. But the truth is, the answer is in that book. It's here. So for me to write another one... what would be my purpose?

Do you have any other workshops coming up?

(Laughs) I live in hotels as it is. I visit my furniture in Los Angeles about five or six weeks out of the year. I try to get a week in here and there to see my family on the East Coast. I drive a car. You know what I drive? I drive a 1995 Toyota. Everyone says, "You've got a beautiful house. Why don't you buy a new car?" I bought the house when I was still a chiropractor. Why should I pay for a new car to sit in my garage? My idea of a vacation is when I get to go home, draw the curtains in my bedroom, order some food and watch a movie. I'm also equally excited everywhere I go. I'm in Tel Aviv right now. I came here from Italy. I was in Japan a few weeks ago. I can't wait to get to Hong Kong. I've never been there.

How has it changed your personal life?

What personal life? (Chuckles) I would love to have a wife and kids. But everything's a trade-off. I have the ability to meet amazing people who become friends. I have real friends all around the world with different backgrounds and different cultures. I can decide to go to Istanbul next week if I get a few days off. I can decide to go back to Japan or to Australia. It's a beautiful life. It's just a different flavour.

So what drives you to do this?

I'm compelled, because inside there's a level of truth that resonates with who I am now and simultaneously resonates with who we are as spirits, playing our game of humanity. I know that we've all been together, we will all be together again and we're all together here. We're having this little experience of separation, and the fun and the game of separation is peaking around the corner to see if we can find the connection. It's like hide and seek. You know where everyone is, but it's fun to close your eyes and then hide and try to guess. There's a level of truth that we see beyond the illusion that we're in. There's nothing else that I could do and feel so whole, as what I'm doing here.

Are there any tips you would like to share?

It's time for us to really just open our eyes and look for where we're being spoon-fed fear, disguised as love (being charged in the process).

When these healings first started happening, I needed some answers. I asked myself, "Who would have answers? Well, healers would have answers." So I called the first one, and I went over to show him. He asked me, "Are you using protection?" I said, "From what? What am I supposed to be afraid of? What should I do?" He said, "Call in the presence of mother/father God." So I go back to my office, and I'm ready to do a healing session where I apply all this, but the healing didn't seem as dramatic. So I thought, maybe I need some more help. So I called someone else, and again they asked me about protection. I said, "Yes, I'm calling in mother/father God." They said, "What about the archangels?" So there's Michael, Ariel, Gabriel, Raphael and they all have to go in certain places. But the healing seems to be less. So I go to someone else, they ask me to call in Jesus. I go to someone else, they ask me to call in Sananda. So pretty soon I'm walking around with a list of names, and I have no idea who these people are. Lao Tzu, skinny Buddha and fat Buddha, the more things I'm doing the less is happening. Finally someone asks me if I'm shaking the energy off of my hands. He says that I have to shake them off into a bowl of water. But it could escape from the bowl of water, so you have to put salt in the water to break it up. And if you get any on you, you have to keep a bottle of alcohol around, so you can spray away the evil of the universe. You can use the bowl for up to three people. But then the bowl has to be changed. But you can't touch the bowl. So someone else has to come over and change it for you. The life of doing this stuff... living in these fears is absolutely ridiculous. One day it just dawns on me, "What if I let it go?" So I got rid of all the people and the bowl and stopped protecting myself. When you're bringing in protection into the healing situation, the only thing you're bringing in is fear. So I let it all go! And the healings came back up. And someone said, "But aren't you at least calling in God for protection?" And I said, "Well, isn't God everywhere?" He said, "Of course." "Then where are you calling God in from? The airport?" Because every time that we call God in, we're saying that God isn't with us all the time anyway. So don't we know that God, Love or universe or whatever word we want to use is already there? Is God everywhere on Sunday, but somewhere else on Tuesday? Are we doing the rituals for the sake of appearance? Because we can just walk into the room and start doing the healing. We don't get to do the performance of, "We're now calling in God, and I'm now anchoring the energy of the archangels." Do the archangels really need you to anchor their energy? Are they like little lost helium balloons? Can we start to recognise all these fear-based concepts that we're being fed by people, who have good intentions... maybe. Conscious? Probably not. It's our responsibility to be the light. We have to walk through the fears that we have been given subliminally. Start off easy. When you're on the way to the seminar, and you realise that you're wearing all black. Don't run upstairs to put on your healing colours. Don't cheat and put on purple underwear. The worst thing that could happen is that you die. But if you don't die, you walk through one conscious fear. And each time we step through one conscious fear, 1001 fears that we're not even aware of will fall away with it. We don't need to sage the room or call in spirits for protection. We're simply light. And light needs nothing to protect itself from, because darkness doesn't exist. If it did, we could sweep it up, put it in a paper bag and stick it out with the trash. Darkness is merely that place where we have not yet allowed ourselves to shine as the light.

What has been the most interesting experience in connection with the Reconnection work?

In The Living Matrix movie they asked me the same thing. And I said, "It's always the most recent one." I had just flown in from Greece to do the interview. So I told them, "There I was in a colosseum type setup, and after the presentation some people came up carrying a boy, who had metal braces on his legs. He couldn't really walk. He couldn't bring his heels on the ground. He was scheduled for surgery. He had to hold on to his parents to hold or pull himself. He couldn't speak, and the mother was trying to interpret it. So they said, "Can you work on him?" I was also doing a book signing and said, "Yes, I'll try to do something." We only had four minutes. So while I was talking to the parents, somehow the boy had gotten off the stage, walked down the steps and ascended the stairs of the colosseum, and at the top he stood with his arms out and a huge smile on his face. Then he walked down the steps again. The parents ran over to get him at the bottom of the stairs, but he turned around and did it again, ran back up and came down. Needless to say, the mother attended the seminar I was giving in Athens a couple of days later. She brought the boy down to see me. He said, "Look what I can do. I can run." He ran down the hallway and back, a little wobbly, but he ran. He said, "Look what I can do. I can spin on one leg in a circle", which he did. Then he said, "Look I can open my right hand." I didn't realise that all his life he was unable to open his right hand because of its pain. "And I can hold my own cup of water." Then it suddenly became clear. He was speaking, and everyone could understand. Well it was in greek, but they translated it for me. And then he counted in perfect English from one to ten for me. It was the most adorable thing. So I told them that story, and they got their camera crew together, flew out to Greece, filmed him and interviewed his mother. The father didn't want any parts of it. But the boy was the opening part in The Living Matrix. So now I show up, almost a year later to the opening of the movie in March, and the father who didn't want to be involved and even tried to stop it from happening several times, was there. He sat down at the table across from me. He said, "I didn't want Demetrius to do this film." He realised that he didn't want to be a part of this, because it was so hard for him to believe. He was afraid that he would wake up one morning and that the healing would be gone. But if he never accepted that the healing happened, then he wouldn't be hurt if the healing disappeared. He said, "But you know what, it's been almost a year now, and Demetrius is better and better every day. He runs a little funny, but that's because he runs all the time. He runs all the time, because he's five years old, and he never got to run when all of his friends were running." I said, "That's why I'm here." You should have seen it. It was beautiful.
