No One Ever Returns from Peru the Same

No one ever returns from Peru the same.

I have heard someone say this before, and I had no idea what it meant.

Until, of course, I went on a journey to Peru myself.

Life is a very magical thing.

For most of my life, I have made decisions without much analytical logic.

I don’t know why I do the things I do, except that it felt right. I have done that with my studies in college, the work I have been in, the child I had, the man I married, and Peru.

I went to Peru the first time, knowing nothing of the place. I had a long list of recommended books to read about the place and its traditions; I didn’t feel drawn to reading any. I have a lot to thank my Spirit for guiding me to open more of my heart and less of my mind, as anyone who has set foot in Peru will know, this is always a journey led by Spirit.

You can visit Peru as a tourist and you can answer its call by opening your heart and receiving its energy. Peru has never been a geographical dot on the map for me and I have never been its tourist, every word the best guides have told me about its history and its architecture has flown out my ears when I experienced its energy. No architecture, no sacred site, no legend of the land and its people compare to the heart opening experiences by being in the land. The beauty of love, of Munaycha, (“loving-kindness”), is experienced in every breath you take in this land. Pachamama, (“Mother Nature”) breathes this love, harmony and beauty everywhere, imprinting it in its land and its people, calling to anyone who is willing to connect with their hearts.

There is nothing you have to do in this land. With the strong energy present, we become. I have never smiled so much in my life. I become the fullest of who I truly am. I become the joy, the love, the truth, the beauty, the peace I am, that I always have been, but have forgotten. Being in this energy, the remembrance of who we are is inevitable.

I have had many mystical experiences in this land of love and beauty (which I won’t go into detail here, you are welcome to read them on my blog), experiences that might seem magical in our every day mundane life. Yet when I saw the truth of oneself, I understood we all have that infinite power, we are all empowered instruments of the Universe, only we have to be willing to step into it. The subsequent journeys back is my answer to the Universe in stepping into my fullest potential. It would be my honor to share the beauty and love and the magic through the Andean spiritual tradition with anyone who resonates with this energy. No one ever returns from Peru the same, and it would be my service to assist you in the true remembrance of who you are.

Because when we remember, others will too.
