There's a Movement Emerging on Planet Earth Where on Earth are we going? And what can we do about it? These are questions we all ask ourselves. Now more and more organizations are teaming up to do something about the precarious state on our planet. The Global Shift is partnering with The Pachamama Alliance for an Asia tour of the 'Awakening The Dreamer, Changing The Dream' Symposium - an interactive program to explore new ways of seeing the big sustainability, personal development and social justice challenges and opportunities that are presenting themselves right now. More than 40,000 people in over 28 countries have experienced the Symposium around the world so far, and it is continuously being offered at schools, organizations and many communities worldwide. Via a series of powerful short films, participants hear from scientists, and community leaders of our time about the planet's dwindling biodiversity and the growing socio-economic gaps. The speakers include Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Julia Butterfly Hill, Van Jones, Paul Hawken, Brian Swimme, Thomas Berry and many more. The event also offers lively breakout groups and practical tools. "I can no longer deny what is happening in the world," says Jo Fok, CEO of The Global Shift. "After experiencing the Symposium and the Training I feel that we can do something about it. We are not alone." The vision of the initiative is to generate widespread awakening across the region to take part in a global movement that is beginning to transform our worldview, such that humanity becomes committed to restoring and contributing towards a fair, sustainable and peaceful existence. Participants of this program will also be offered the opportunity to be trained as a volunteer facilitator, joining 1,300 others and a rapidly growing community worldwide.
