Free Your Mind If we want to change our lives, we have to change our beliefs. Vivienne Tang speaks to Ian Spicer to find out how Psych-K can create lasting positive changes throughout your entire life. Many of us have tried hundreds of thousands of affirmations before, only to realize that the subconscious mind was still playing tricks on us. To overcome our limiting beliefs one has to address our most hidden thoughts and change them at a subconscious level to experience lasting change. One of the easiest and fastest modalities to do this seems to be Psych-K, a popular user-friendly process that helps people identify very quickly and simply what their subconscious beliefs are with the help of Psych-K's own version of muscle testing, which is used as a diagnostic tool. The issues are then balanced and transformed from self-sabotaging beliefs into self-supporting beliefs, using the Psych-K subconscious mind process called “a balance”. “This can happen in a matter of a The healing system was originally developed in 1988 by Rob Williams, a psychotherapist who had studied many modalities over the years. He became frustrated with the results he got through existing techniques, and out of that he developed Psych-K. “I absolutely believe that this is part of the new science,” says Spicer. “It will be in school text books in years to come. There are already a lot of people, not only in the alternative health world, but also in the world of business, psychology and psychotherapy who have started to seek out, learn and adopt these processes particularly after reading The Biology of Belief by Bruce Lipton Ph.D.” Most people have heard about Psych-K through Dr. Bruce Lipton, who has been a powerful promoter of Psych-K. He is at the forefront of connecting biology and psychology, and affirms that it is not our genes that control our lives, but our beliefs. “The Psych-K Basic Facilitator Training teaches participants the two cornerstone Psych-K balances so they can create simple, fast and lasting change at the subconscious level of mind,” says Spicer about the upcoming workshop. “It’s one of the keys to life.” There are a few things that make Psych-K quite unique and different among other modalities. “One is the utilisation of the “whole brain state”, which integrates the left and the reight hemispheres of the brain, giving us access to all of its resources,” says Spicer. “We’ve known that for a long time with Brain Dominance Theory, that our right brain deals with all of the emotional matters, our creative side, whereas our left brain is very much our analytical side. When we’re born, we’re usually born with both sides being able to talk to each other, and as we go through life, we tend to over-identify with the left or the right side of the brain. So in certain situations, especially where there have been issues in our lives, we tend to get cut off from one of the sides of our brain. So what Psych-K allows us to do is to change beliefs, using whole brain postures. These postures allow us to integrate both sides and to have equal identification with them. “A simple example of that might be when we get into an argument with somebody that we love. We can get very emotional, and the things that we want to say don’t come as easily to us, as in that situation, we may be over-identifying with the right side, and then, as we go for a walk later, we create more whole brained activitiy and think, ‘Oh, I should have said this, and I should have said that.’ As it turns out, when we integrate the left and the right brain in a whole brained state, it also reduces the resistance of our subconscious mind to accept a new idea, and it makes it very easy for us to reprogram a new idea.”
“We’ve all had goals that we’ve wanted to achieve and that might not have been in our best and highest interest,” adds Spicer. “The highest purpose of Psych-K is actually a spiritual process with psychological benefits. Because we’re accessing the super-conscious, we’re actually accessing spiritual or a higher part of ourselves, and that’s one of the things that really opens up the hard drive for us, together with the whole brain posture. Accessing that spiritual part is one of the things that creates those lasting changes. Apart from helping us resolve our day to day problems of money and health etc, Psych-K's ultimate mission is to help us recognize our divinity, discover our greatness and become the peace that we seek. Psych-K's originator Rob Williams states that we don't know who we are until we know that we are divine beings, having a human experience. The great thing is that everyone else is too. They just don't know it yet.” Many people in Hong Kong have already learnt one or the other technique, but Psych-K can easily complement an existing tool box of modalities, and at the same time it can simply create a firm foundation for new skills that one will acquire in the future. “Nothing can get simpler and more effective,” Spicer says. “You not only get a certificate so you can practice professionally straight after the 2-Day workshop, but you can also use it with yourself anywhere and anytine, while you’re sitting on a train or lying in bed at night. “Anyone can really make a huge difference in any area of life with Psych-K. All people need to do is use it. We've seen incredible transformations with people from all walks of life and receive wonderful calls every day from people who have attended workshops, letting me know about their transformed lives.”
Ian Spicer will be offering one-on-one sessions on May 24-25, and a PSYCH-K Basic Workshop on May 26-27 at White Lotus Centre. For more information, workshop registration or to view the 2-hour Bruce Lipton and Rob Williams movie, go to www.lifeforceevents.com or call Ian +61 414 426 486.

few minutes,” says Psych-K Instructor and Advanced Facilitator, Ian Spicer, who is coming from Australia to Hong Kong in May to teach a Psych-K Basic Facilitator Training. “It gives anyone the power to be able to completely transform any area of their life. Thousands of people have benefitted from balances all around the world in all areas, including prosperity, self-esteem, health, relationships, grief and spirituality.”
Another interesting aspect of the technique is that it also accesses the super-conscious mind, the higher self. And before any Psych-K balance can be completed, the facilitator needs to do a permission protocol where he asks the super-conscious if it is safe and appropriate to perform the balance, making sure that it is in our highest good and our best interest of our life to balance this goal.
